Editing, Trimming, and Per-Pad Controls

AutoSamplr trim editor opened on a vocal pad with a detailed waveform.

  1. Right-click a populated pad to open the trim editor. On macOS, Control-click also works.
  2. Drag the start and end handles to adjust the playable region.
  3. Play the pad while editing to hear the current trim and controls.
  4. Adjust per-pad controls only when the raw chop needs shaping.
  5. Save to write the edited pad back into the current kit.
ControlUse
VolumeMake the pad quieter or louder.
PanMove the pad left or right in stereo.
ShapeMake the attack punchier or softer.
Fade InSmooth the start of the pad.
Fade OutSmooth the end of the pad.
PitchTune the pad up or down.
OctaveShift pitch by whole octaves.
FormantChange vocal/body color without retuning the note.
FilterDarken or brighten the pad.
SpeedSlow down or speed up playback.
Preserve durationKeep length steady when changing pitch or octave.
Preserve pitchKeep pitch steady when changing speed.
ReversePlay the pad backwards.
